The right hand is structure and the left, emotion. The surrealist and expressionistic paintings are intended to transport the viewer into an otherworldly plane of soulful retreat and reflection.

Enlightenment and spiritual escapism is at the core of her paintings, visualizing a universe where "The Cool People" take a featured role. Primarily using latex paint and acrylic-based leather paint, she layers and sculpts texture with brushes and palette knives. Storm often uses aging techniques, influenced from experience in theatrical scenic painting. The collective work appears to exist long before modern creation, giving an old world quality to her final paintings.
