From 2020 to 2022, Storm led art classes via Zoom with a troop 3302 from the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. The various classes thematically focused on Herstory, the study of powerful women who shaped our culture. Lessons on color theory, the creative process, and painting styles supplemented the discussions on female creatives from music to art.
The workshops featured painting sessions, with everyone individually painting t-shirts and self portraits on canvas. Creating together over Zoom was a wonderful way to bring inspiration and fun during a challenging time. As it became safer to interact in person, Storm continued to host classes with the Girl Scouts at her gallery shows, storefronts, and eventually larger scale mentorship speaking events in 2024.
