solo show November 14 - December 18th, 2024
The collection is the visualization of the artist's theatrical universe, where her spirits come to play. Organically painted with the right and left hand in tandem, the surrealist work depicts compositions of natural magic and themes of reincarnated nostalgia.
With the physical and emotional response from music, the artist is inspired by the colors of classical opera/operettas, harpsichord infused rock, and cinematic scores from Technicolor musicals to modern melodramas. The body of work is an expressionistic reflection of her past year exploring the supernatural elements of the self and dynamic definitions of home. The signature spiritual figures, The Cool People, are teachers on her journey to understand her soul, inviting viewers to show kindness to their own.

She is a full-time painter, in-person/online retailer, business owner in the Village since 2014 specializing in canvas, murals, textile design, painted garments, home decor, and artisan merchandise.
As an ambidextrous artist, Storm's surrealist work explores mystical escapism, theatrical landscapes, and esoteric themes using her right hand for structural technique, left hand for organic emotion. Inspired by musical frission and synesthesia, paintings collectively feature her signature spiritual storytellers, The Cool People. The motif figures have stylistically evolved over ten years. Storm currently continues studio work and commissions at her East Village Private Studio.
